Tommy began his career in real estate with the North Carolina Department of Commerce, as a representative of the Business/Industry Development Division, coordinating North Carolina’s marketing and industrial recruitment activities. His work there resulted in the creation of 2,000 new jobs. Additionally, he participated in negotiating the first project specific, state legislature funded incentive package for site preparation and utility extensions totaling $5 million for a large dishwasher manufacturing facility in eastern North Carolina.  

Since joining Hart Corporation in 1988, Tommy has completed sale or lease transactions on over 90% of the exclusive agencies he’s handled. He has also conceived, designed and managed numerous community speculative shell building programs, resulting in the creation of thousands of new jobs in those communities.
