Hart Corporation is Pleased to Announce that Brooke Gibson, CCIM has Joined our Firm.
A graduate of The University of the South at Sewanee, Brooke joined Hart Corporation’s Carolinas/Virginia region in the fall of 2011. With over seven years of experience working on the brokerage teams for two separate commercial developers in the Charlotte area, as well as a year working in investment sales, Brooke carries the knowledge of not only the sales and leasing side of the commercial real estate business, but also the inner-workings of the development process itself. At her previous company, Brooke and her partner oversaw the leasing of 2,700,000 square feet of office, industrial and flex space as well as the marketing of 100+ acres of pre-development land, resulting in over $100,000,000 and 1,500,000 square feet in transactions during a five year period.
Brooke has won several awards for her accomplishments including The Mecklenburg Times inaugural 50 Most Influential Women Award, Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, and the CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Charlotte, Inc.’s Economic Impact Excellence Award where she was recognized for securing a Charlotte-area lease transaction that produced over $106,500,000 and 800 jobs for the local economy. Brooke was also awarded the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 2002 and was featured in the national CCIM magazine, CIRE, as a rising star in the field of commercial real estate. Brooke was recently selected to serve a three year term for the NC CCIM Board of Directors and was also elected to the CRCBR (Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS) Leadership Class. Brooke is a licensed broker in North and South Carolina.
In addition, in 2003 Brooke founded 30ish and Under, a group of over 100 young commercial real estate brokers who gather for sponsored deal-making events, and has also had many leadership positions with CREW Charlotte, Inc. including Board of Directors, Chair of the Programs Committee, and Chair of the Community Relations Committee where she spearheaded a fundraising event that raised over $20,000 for local charities. Brooke has also received the honor of Charlotte magazine’s Reader Pick Best of the Best Blogger award for her writing efforts about the City of Charlotte via her website, www.waxMAMA.com. She was also recognized as Charlotte STYLE magazine's Top Five "Most Stylish" People of Charlotte where she was featured on the cover of the inaugural print issue as a leader in career, personality and community impact.
Brooke has previously lived in South America and is fluent in Spanish, has been a volunteer youth soccer coach for the YMCA for over eight years, and is a member of the United Way Young Leaders Council.
